Despite the heat wave of a summer we’re having (just a pinch of sarcasm!) I managed to pull some strings and get some sun for Gina + Hafaezs’ engagement session this past weekend.
I’m usually the last to pick a location for an engagement session as I prefer to shoot in a place that means something special to my clients, which is why I almost always insist that they pick a location (and only if they are really stuck for a place, I’ll make some recommendations).
So when Gina told me that she wanted to have their photos taken in Steveston, my backyard for the past 22 years, who was I to say no?
Steveston has certainly changed in the past 5-10 years, yet there is such an abundance of places to shoot. We started our session right in the heart of Steveston on the docks:
…then moved our sessions to the back alleys of Steveston
Gina + Hafaez, thank you for such an awesome time!!! See you in October for your wedding!

Melia - great locations! (and great dress) Steveston is looking not too shabby. Love the TS Orca portrait.
Crissy - You take some really fun engagement pics!
