Koestlmaier Family Portrait Session

During the holidays I was contacted by Elizabeth to take her family out for some portrait sessions. I know her by her husband, Bernie, who works with my father. Elizabeth had requested a outdoor photo session, which was a little tough due to the weather, but thanks to camera weather sealing and some good luck, it only sprinkled on us for a short while.

I have to admit, rain or shine, I love shooting outdoors. Being totally unrestricted (for the most part) and having the ability to walk around and find interesting places, always makes for a great shoot. Not to mention, it REALLY helps with you’ve got 3 young boys running around. It keeps their energy level high, which definitely shows in the photos.

But before I start with the many great photos, I want to introduce you to my fiancée, Natisha. Currently in India for 3 weeks with her parents, this was the first portrait session that she accompanied me along with, helping with carrying gear, holding my flash, grabbing the boys and taking a few shots as well!

And sometimes, unexpected models show up wishing to be photographed.

Sabine Koestlmaier - Hallo from another Koestlmaier living in Germany. I was browsing the web, doing some research about my family tree/ancestors while I stumbled across these great photos.

I wish I knew to which line you belong to. The family name Koestlmaier isn’t that common so I guess that you belong there in some way or another.
